To ensure that your clients, customers and partners are protected, File Secure Pro® supports legal compliance by enabling you to:

1. Protect information transmitted across the Internet.
2. Protect usage and distribution of information throughout it's lifecycle.
3. Monitor and track usage of protected information
4. Lock information permanently to prevent further access.

The security enabled by File Secure Pro is protected by US Copyright Code, Title 17, Section 1201, also called the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA). The DMCA prohibits circumvention of access control technologies employed by copyright owners to protect their works.

PROTECTION FEATURES

• Revoke User Access to a PDF file Instantly.
  You can instantly lock a file and prevent access for a specific user, or a group of users at any time. You can also undo this action to allow them access again.
  
  
• Encrypts PDF documents with high level encryption.
  All protected files are encrypted with a strong 256 bit encryption algorithm.
  
  
• Does not save unprotected copy of file in "temp" folder.
  Most applications save an unprotected copy of the file in the Windows "temp" folder. It is very easy for a dishonest user to simply grab the file from there and then do with it what they wish. File Secure Pro fixes this issue by not saving an unprotected copy of the file anywhere on the user's PC.
  
  
• Set Expiration Date.
  You set the allowed access period for a specific file. You can set the user’s access to expire from 1 minute to several years after the user first access it. You can also set their access to expire on a specific future date.
  
  
• Controls printing.
  Allows you to control if the user is allowed to print that specific file. If they are allowed to print, you can further control the number of printouts they are allowed. Users are also not allowed to print-to-file, print-to-PDF or print-to-TIFF. This is unique, complete protection that no other system offers.
  
  
• Delayed printing ability.
  Gives you the option to delay allowing the user to print for a specific amount of time. For example, you can set this to 24 hours. This added fraud feature will prevent the user from printing until 24 hours after they first access the file.
  
  
• Enable watermarking.
  This allows you to enter specific watermark text or user data that will be stamped onto each page of the document when it is printed.
  
  
• Include header/footer data on printouts.
  This feature adds specific user data to the header and footer of the document when it is printed.
  
  
• Control File/Password sharing.
  You control how many times a password is used. In most cases this is set to allow only one user for a specific password. Once that file has been activated, it cannot be activated by anyone else on any other PC. The user can pass around the password and file as much as they wish, but it will only open on the original user’s PC.
  
  
• Closes all PDF security flaws.
  File Secure Pro™ automatically prevents the end user from copying text or images to the clipboard. It also prevents the user from exporting the file to text, prevents the user from emailing an unprotected version of the file, disables the save as feature, and disables the print to file option which is a major flaw in almost all PDF security systems.
  
  Also, the system does NOT save an unprotected copy of the file in the temp folder, or any folder on the hard drive.
  
  
• Advanced screen capture protection.
  Prevents the use of video and screen capture software when your document is being viewed so it cannot be copied.
  
  
• Offline access.
  If you choose, you can give the user the ability to access their file without an internet connection. This does not relinquish total control. After a predetermined period of time, the user must again connect to the internet to ensure that their rights to the file have not been changed or revoked.
  
  
• Ability to move file.
  If you choose, you can give the user the ability to move their file to another PC. During this process your file is never unprotected.
  
  
• Resale Rights control
  If you offer resale rights to your documents or software, the File Secure Pro protection system allows you to provide others with licenses to sell or distribute your files and software.

• Provides detailed tracking and monitoring of file usage.
  Allows you to see real time usage of your file. The system provides valuable user information like how many times a customer opened a specific file, when they last accessed the file and how many times they printed the file (if allowed by you) and their IP address.
  
  Know instantly if your user has received your critical document. Know how many times they opened and if they printed it or not. The File Secure Pro system provides an electronic paper trail of the document usage.
  The user cannot deny receipt of the file because the act of opening the file provides electronic proof that they have accessed your specific file. If it was lost, you are still protected. You have to power to lock the file and just send out another!

• Automatic file distribution.
  If your shopping cart or payment system can forward approved orders to a specific URL, then it will work with File Secure Pro to allow hands free file distribution. Once your customer's order is approved, they are forwarded to a secure registration page which will email them a unique password and download link to your file. Once it is set up, this is all done automatically.
  
  
• 1ShoppingCart.com Integration.
  File Secure Pro automatically integrates with your 1shoppingcart.com database allowing for automatic user registrations after order approval. When a cart order is approved, the data is logged into your File Secure Pro database. Your customer is then sent a specific download link and registration password for each file that they purchased. 1shoppingcart.com automatically supports the use of over 50 online credit card processors, ensuring that you will be able to use the File Secure Pro system no matter what online payment processor you use.
  
  
• Paypal.com Integration.
  File Secure Pro automatically integrates with your Paypal account using the Payment Data Transfer (PDT) feature. When a customer purchases your document via paypal, their information is automatically and securely transmitted to the File Secure server. The system will instantly enter them into your database and then email the customer their download link(s) and access password(s) for all documents purchased.
  
  
• 2CheckOut.com Integration.
  File Secure Pro automatically integrates with 2CheckOut.com. When an order is approved, the data is logged into your File Secure Pro database. Your customer is then sent a specific download link and registration password for each file that they purchased.
  
  
• ClickBank.com Secret Key Support.
  For added security File Secure Pro supports integration with the Clickbank Secret Key purchase authorization feature which requires all orders to confirm that they are infact coming from your Clickbank account.

  
  
• Manual document distribution.
  This allows you to instantly send a document to a list of email addresses or specific list of users/subscribers.
  
  
• Offline document distribution.
  System allows you to manually distribute your protected files via CD-ROM or any other offline method, while still maintaining protection and control over how the file is used and accessed. It prevents the file from being passed along or accessed by non-authorized users.
  
  

• Advanced 3-Level File Locking.
  Allows you to control access for a file from the Password Level, from the User Level or from the File Level. This enables more specific control over access to the file for each user or group of users.

• Advanced database searches.
  Advanced search filters allow for various user searches which will generate very specific lists of users which meet specific criteria. You are then able to export that list of user data for offline marketing, or you can use one of the File Secure Pro marketing elements to contact that list.
  
  
• Send non-email message or web page to users.
  Once you generate your list of specific users, you will then be able to send non-email messages to your document users. These messages will display when the user opens their file for viewing. It is not an email, but rather a communication system that sends the message directly to the document itself.
  
  You can send broad message to a group of users, or send specific messages to users of specific files. This allows you to contact your clients/users each time they open your file. They are receptive to what you have to say and the non-obtrusive messages can be a welcome reminder or nudge for the client or customer.
  
  
• Push URLS to users.
  In addition to being able to send users complete messages, you can also automatically redirect their browser to a specific website or online file. This happens instantly when the user accesses your file.
  
  
• Send file to specific users.
  This allows you to instantly register a single user or a group of users to a new file and then instantly email them the download link to the file.
  
  
• Create future users.
  Allows you to generate a set number of passwords for a file and then export that list of passwords to a txt file. This is excellent for those who want to sell their electronic document in bulk orders. A client can purchase a set number of files and they are simply provided with the set number of passwords for that file.
  You are assured that there will be no additional accesses for that file since each password can work only once. This feature can also be used for those distributing files via CD-ROM. You simply print one password per CD. When the user registers at a future date, you are then able to monitor and control their access as you see fit.
  
  
• Subscribe to your autoresponder.
  When a user registers a file, you can have them automatically subscribe to any autoresponder you specify.
  
  
• Group Distribution.
  This feature allows you to distribute files in groups. If a customer orders File A, then you can automatically send them File B and File C also if you wish. This is ideal for products that consist of more than one document. Each file will be protected and monitored by the system.
  
  
• Choose Personalized Icon.
  When you create a protected file, you can choose any icon you wish for your document. Use your own custom icons, or use our default File Secure Pro icon.
